When the LONDON BOROUGH OF CAMDEN appointed TIM WILSON of FARRER HUXLEY ASSOCIATES to design a natural play area for CANTELOWS GARDENS, project architect TIM WILSON worked closely with local parents and groups and produced a “state of the art park with separate children’s play areas.”

The final design concept involved the “playful intervention” of a meteor crashing and skidding to a halt in the park. We were able to supply a 54-tonne ‘meteor’ to match the idea. The long sandpit of the terminal skid mark had ‘fragment’ smaller boulders which offered individual play for parents and toddlers.
